So close to everything! Within comfortable walking distance and the Verona Card in our pocket we set off to check out as many things listed, as was possible, in the two days allowed on our card. One favourite of mine was the stairwell in one of the towers. We were timely in our arrival for we were the first visitors of the day. Luckily, we had the best vantage points overlooking the city, all, mostly to ourselves. The additional euro each, for 
the lift, an absolute given, for the last few steps 
were a killer. How does the Verona Card work? Depending on the number of days that you wish to purchase the base rate of 15 euros allowed us to enter 16 attractions over a period of two consecutive days. Great value given that many places of interest charged between 5-7 euros an adult. An alternative 5 day card may also be purchased but I was unsure if that provided access to additional or alternative venues.
